Snappy Operas: An introduction for children and teachers

A series of resources to introduce children and teachers to our award-winning project for primary schools

A Snappy Opera is a 10-minute opera for children (aged 7-11) introducing all the essential elements of opera – singing, acting and making – in a fun, colourful and bite-size chunk. We have created a series of resources to introduce children and teachers to the project and provide some fun activities that can be done at home or with a class in school.

Introduced by our Snappy Opera team and exploring the wonderful story of The Magical Music Tree, there will be the chance to do some singing and learn one of the songs, explore some of the characters to add some drama, and make some costumes to really bring them to life!

These fun activities are designed to give a little taster of some of the things we do when we deliver a Snappy Opera in a school. We hope you will enjoy joining in with these fun activities, and whatever you chose to do... #MakeItSnappy
