Meet Me @ Mahogany: A New Sound

In February of this year, Mahogany Opera teamed up with the Edinburgh Futures Institute and Snap-Elastic to deliver A New Sound - a special day of workshops for artists working in the field of opera, music theatre and music driven performance, to explore the barriers artists face in creating new work and how we can work collaboratively to overcome those barriers.
In our latest Meet Me @ Mahogany event, we will reflect on the findings from the day and explore some of the key challenges that were identified in the workshops - how to avoid feelings of isolation by making meaningful CONNECTIONS with other artists, how to balance TIME to ensure productive work whilst maintaining SELF-CARE and wellbeing, and how visions for a better FUTURE can influence our work today.
If you are a creative working in music-driven performance, this is your chance to hear what we have learned and also join the conversation to share your own experiences, make new connections and envision a new future together. Although this event is targeted at artists, we welcome anyone with an interest in our work to join us for the discussion.
All Meet Me @ Mahogany events are FREE to attend. The discussion will take place in English on Zoom. It will be BSL-interpreted and live-captioned. Please register on Ticket Source to receive the Zoom link for the event. We hope to see you there.
