Roll Up! Public Screening
Join us for the premiere screening of Roll Up!
We are delighted to present the premiere screening of Roll Up!, a film of our latest Snappy Opera commission created by Jack McNeill, Claire Willoughby and Annie Ruscillo with and for Sandgate School in Kendal. This is an opportunity to experience a joyful, inclusive performance and to hear about the process of co-creating the piece from the creative team.

An immersive, sensory and experiential opera, Roll Up! is inspired by contemporary circus, natural elements and ancient traditions of entertainment where Tumblers, Fortune Tellers, Magicians, Flyers, and Daredevils reveal the magic in the everyday.
Roll Up! was created throughout the school year 2022-23, involving students (aged 4-19) and staff throughout the school in different aspects of making the piece through sound, storytelling, movement, and design. It was performed at Sandgate School on 29 and 30 June 2023.
The screening will be followed by refreshments and a short Q+ A about the process with members of the creative team.
