Katie Duxbury

Designer

Katie Duxbury is a designer and maker with a background in theatrical costume. Following her graduation from the Theatre Design course at Nottingham Trent University in 2009, her experience has included costume cutting, construction, and dressing for many theatres, including the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster and Oldham Coliseum. Additionally she has freelanced as a designer and maker for various performance groups and individuals, including About Time Dance Company, Baybeat Street Band and LPM Dance . Katie loves to create extravagant and colourful designs in her own time which push her creative skills, and explore techniques and ideas. This work is shared at www.duxburydesigns.co.uk, and also appears at festivals with the performance collaboration of 'Creatures Collective'.
