Jordan Blackwood


Jordan (he/him) is a Scottish theatre director and facilitator working in professional, youth and community contexts. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and was a Resident Trainee Director at the King’s Head Theatre. Jordan tells stories, new and old, in a visual manner and is passionate about creative engagement.

Jordan has worked across Scotland and the UK with companies such as the Tron Theatre, Dundee Rep, Perth Theatre, Royal Lyceum Theatre, Traverse Theatre, PACE Theatre Company, Zest Theatre & DV8 Physical Theatre. Recent projects include: Director, The Travelling Cranberries Christmas Show (Tour, OnFife); Producer, Suitcase Stories (Tron Theatre); Director, One Foot In Front Of The Other (Short Film, Renfrewshire Arts); Director, Scott & Laura (Scenes For Survival, National Theatre of Scotland).

Jordan is very much looking forward to working on Snappy Operas in Edinburgh.
