Imogen is a Cumbrian director, actor, theatre designer and maker with a family-oriented and community-based practice.
Recent projects include a creative residency with The Centre West Cumbria and rural touring with The Puppet Musical for Ragged Edge Productions (Highlights Rural Touring Scheme, Arts Out West, Arts Alive, Night Out, Lancashire Wildlife Trust, and The Dukes, Lancaster). Working in West-Cumbrian Primary Schools as a Drama Practitioner for ‘Welcoming the Stranger’ with The Laal Collective, ‘TENT’ for Rosehill Arts Trust, and directing ‘The Shakespeare Project’, in collaboration with The Wordsworth Trust, Lakeland Arts and Roose Primary in Barrow. She has directed and designed productions for Wayfarers Theatre: The Tempest (2025), Wind in the Willows (2024), As You Like It (2023), Midsummer Night’s Dream (2021-2022), alongside the educational puppet show Backpack of Beasts.
Currently, she is developing outdoor arts venue Wayfarers Theatre into a space to ‘rewild’ the community, by simultaneously engaging in arts/nature. Imogen is a regular with the street theatre company, Fairly Famous Family, which includes performances at Glastonbury 2025. Past work has included commissions for Kirkgate Arts, facilitating meetups for Cumbria Arts and Culture Network, and writing for the ‘Come to Where I am’ project with Paines Plough/Theatre by the Lake.
