Ieva Budriūnaitė is a Lithuanian librettist, editor, and digital strategist whose work sits at the intersection of contemporary opera and cultural narrative. A graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, she has become a vital voice in the development of modern Lithuanian opera, frequently collaborating with a new generation of composers. She is most recognized as the librettist for the critically acclaimed "micro-opera" Honey, Moon! (2019), created with composer Jūra Elena Šedytė. The work explores the complexities of human relationships and domesticity through a minimalist, avant-garde lens. Her writing is noted for its rhythmic precision and ability to translate abstract emotional states into evocative stage language. In addition to her creative output, Budriūnaitė serves as a Digital Project Manager and editor at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (LNOBT). In this capacity, she bridges the gap between traditional performance and modern audience engagement, managing high-profile digital documentaries and marketing initiatives. Her dual expertise as both a creator and a curator of operatic content makes her a central figure in shaping how the genre is presented and perceived in the 21st century.
