Since graduating from Leeds Conservatoire with a Masters in Classical Singing, Elizabeth has enjoyed a diverse musical career. She has performed extensively as a soloist, notably in Handel's Messiah, Vivaldi's Gloria, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Mozart's Requiem and Exsultate Jubilate and has also performed many solo recitals. She enjoys performing lighter repertoire and for the last 12 years has performed as a soloist for the charity 'Lost Chord', bringing music to people with dementia. Elizabeth is passionate about her teaching and has taught singing and directed children's choirs for over 20 years in schools, colleges and privately. Highlights include directing performances of Dido and Aeneas, Vivaldi's Gloria, Oliver, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and a concert tour to Salzburg.
For the past 8 years, Elizabeth has enjoyed working as a music examiner for London College of Music and thoroughly enjoys hearing talented musicians of all ages. In 2024 Elizabeth and husband James relocated to Cumbria where Elizabeth set up Lakeland Larks: North Cumbria Choirs, a group of 3 community choirs, including Skylarks Youth Choir. The combined choirs have over 70 members and enjoy a busy concert diary!
