‘Sparkling’ Scottish soprano, pianist, animateur, choir-leader, and teacher Aimee is passionate about helping others to find their voice. A multiple prizewinner and the grateful recipient of many scholarships and awards, she studied at the University of Glasgow (MA 1st Class Hons, MMus Musicology), the RNCM (MMus with distinction), and on ENO’s ‘Opera Works’ scheme. Awards for facilitation include the Evening Times Community Champion award for projects within dementia care units, and the JM Barrie Action for Children’s Arts Member’s Award for her work with the Leeds Lieder festival. Currently she is the director of the RSNO Chorus Academy and a staff member at the RSNO Junior Chorus, a lecturer for the RCS Junior Conservatoire, director of the Forth Valley Sensory Singers, and a facilitator and trainer for NYCOS. She has also led projects for Jessie’s Fund, the Citizen’s Theatre, Givin’ it Laldie, Luminate, HMP Barlinnie, Alzheimer’s Scotland, Birnam Arts, and Armonico Consort, among others. Other experience includes coaching for BBC Proms in the Park and the National Girls Choir of Scotland, and presenting on young voices for the Creative Choir Leader, the ISM Trust, and the Scottish Association for Music Education.
