Ian Hamilton

Trustee

Ian studied economics at King’s College, Cambridge where his contemporaries included tenor James Gilchrist and composer, pianist and conductor Thomas Adès. Musically untalented, Ian nevertheless attained the position of Social Secretary of the King’s College Music Society. His love of opera was sparked by a chance encounter in 1995 with friends queuing outside the Royal Opera House for a “proms” production of The Marriage of Figaro. Since then, he has been hooked. Ian is a solicitor with an international law firm in London.
